Spanish classes

The Spanish Ministry of Education has helped to establish Spanish classes in BFLS. On May 17£¬ 2007, the Spanish Ministry of Education and BFLS entered into a cooperative agreement to provide students with bilingual and multicultural education. Following the agreement, the Spanish government provides teachers and teaching materials. Some BFLS students learn Spanish as their first foreign language. After six years of study, BFLS students will be qualified to apply for colleges and universities in Spain if they pass the General Examination, Entrance Exam to University in China and related examinations of Spanish government.

The Spanish Ministry of Education continues to show great interest in this project. Aurelio Perez, the Giralda Secretary-General (vice-ministerial level) of Ministry of Education & Science, and Vincente Fro, education counselor from Spanish Embassy in China, have visited the school on several occasions to learn about the progress of the program. Now they are working on finding sister schools in Spain for BFLS to develop inter-school exchanges and provide students with more opportunities to further their studies.
