·【外语节系列报道】我校举行高中戏剧展演及闭幕式

4月10日下午，我校第11届外语节高中戏剧展演及闭幕式在国瑞厅正式拉开帷幕。常务副校长王彤博士出席本次活动并致祝贺词。校长助理、教务处主任王静，德育处副主任刘长虹出席本次活动。高一、高二全体师生一起观看了本次外语节戏剧展演的精彩节目。

外语节体现了我校的办学特色，是我校校园文化建设的一大品牌活动，已经连续11年举办。外语节中的戏剧表演融合了东、西方文化的不同要素，展示了外语文化的独特魅力，用戏剧形式表演，使学生们的外语能力与舞台演技充分结合，体现了学生的创造力。

高一（5）班的节目《Five Dancing Princesses》，用精彩表演诠释了这个世界上，正义战胜邪恶是永恒不变的真理，并且五个男孩反串的公主各具特色，令人印象深刻；高一（6）班的节目《Everyone’s Business》充满了现代的气息，真实反映了现实生活中的点滴，塑造出鲜明生动的人物形象，让我们开怀大笑的同时，也呼吁大家爱护自己的家园；高一（3）班倾情演绎的《Cinderella》，颠覆经典，Cinderella由一个男孩反串，剧中漂亮的水晶鞋转换成一只充满脚臭的运动鞋，剧中的王子与灰姑娘也赶上潮流跳起了骑马舞，这些都让现场观众惊奇之余欢笑声不断；高二（1）班的闫一铭同学演绎了一首英文歌曲，他磁性的嗓音、深情地演唱也带给观众音乐的韵味美感。此次展演中演员们用自己深入的角色表达出剧本所诠释的情感；精致的服装与舞台效果的完美结合；贯穿节目始终的主角和惊鸿一瞥的小小配角，都尽情的释放着自己形象，让节目活泼、动人，富有哲理，使观众为之感动与深思。

最终，高一（3）班的《Cinderella》获得本届外语节戏剧展演一等奖；高一（5）班毕晨昕获最佳女主角；高一（6）班王子傲获最佳男主角；高一（3）班杨濡溪获最佳女配角；高一（6）班韩雪飞获最佳男配角。至此，本次外语节戏剧展演活动，圆满落下了帷幕。

我校外语节走过了11年，11年的蜕变成长，成就了今天第11届外语节戏剧展演的精彩，传承着我校的校园文化。同时，本次戏剧展演活动，对提升学生的口语、听力、组织协调力等起到了积极的作用。

Dear teachers and students, ladies and gentlemen,

Good afternoon!

Today we gather here to have a big celebration of the Foreign Language Festival. To be more exact, we will have the English Play Show. I am so proud that three classes of senior one will stage three English plays. They are Cinderella by Class 3, Five Dancing Princesses by Class 5, and Everyone´s Business by Class 6, All the players, where are you? Please stand up. Let’s give them a big hand. We will also have a singer this afternoon. Yan Yiming from Class 1 senior 2. Let’s also applaud his efforts.

Here, let’s not forget the teachers who guide, coach, support, and help. All the teachers, thank you.

A show will never be a success without the stage supporting staff. This afternoon, all the stage management work is done by our students. The MCs are Liang Zilong and Yu Jia. Sound management, Huang Yuewei. Mike coordination, Yao Shuo. Stage management, the theatre club of the student union. Certificate preparation, Ding Wanying. Thank you all. I am proud of you.

You may wonder, why English play show? Is it a waste of time? I will never have a chance to perform in an English play in my life. Why bother sitting here? I had the same idea ten years ago. However, I completely changed my mind by my Phd supervisor Charles in the United Kingdom. One day I was so exhausted that my mind didn’t function. He told me that weekend he would invite me to have a good break. What was the good break, can you guess? He took me to a Shakespeare play Much Ado about Nothing 。The whole audience was deeply absorbed in the play and I did have a quiet and good break. From that experience, I know that Shakespeare is part of British people’s life and enjoying good plays is indeed enjoying culture and life.
