为帮助学生切实提高口语运用能力、提升英语综合水平、增加主动说英语的机会，本学期初中高端英语项目将开展一系列的英语角活动。

9月18日中午，初中高端英语项目第一次英语角活动在宽敞、明亮的国际展厅举行。本次“英语角”活动由外籍教师 Mr. Z策划并主持。初中国际项目外籍教师Miss Emily、Mr Amar、Mr. Adam、Mr. Harris以及初二和初三全体高端英语课程特色班学生参加了本次活动。

活动伊始，Mr. Z首先向同学们说明了本次英语角活动的目的和意义以及英语角与常规课堂的不同之处，并鼓励学生积极表现自己，抓住每个练习口语的机会。

在热身环节，Mr. Z组织学生进行story train的口语练习活动，选出十个同学到前面轮流说一个单词，组成故事，Mr Amar也参与到活动中和同学们互动，帮助大家迅速地融入英语交流环境中。

接着Mr. Z让同学们自由结成2-5人的小组，并布置了小组任务：表演一个小故事，以小组为单位进行展示。接到任务的同学们积极、认真地筹划自己的表演，在准备过程中，教师们也融入了学生们的小组讨论中，帮助他们扩宽思路、辅导学生用英语进行表达，鼓励不同层次的学生进行相应的语言能力表达，与同学们共同创作“剧本”。

最后的展示环节将整个英语角活动推向了高潮。 Mr. Sean 和同学们一起再现了“复仇者联盟4“的经典片段，当Mr Sean扮演的“灭霸”霸气登场时，引来同学们的一阵欢呼，而Mr. Harris 则是配合同学们反串了一个让家长操心的女生。所有参与活动的中教和外教在看完同学们的表演后忍不住感叹 “They are so funny, so creative! 孩子们太有趣了，太有创意了!”

通过本次英语角活动，体现了初中高端英语课程班学生们浓厚的英语学习氛围，拉近了学生与中外籍教师之间的距离，为同学们提供了施展口语才华、互相交流学习的平台，相信在这样的语言氛围下初中高端英语课程班的学生们一定能体验到英语学习的美妙，更为重要的是，让英语这门工具语言真正走入学生的生活，成为他们终身受用的宝贵财富。

English Corner is a great place to learn English because we can learn a lot there. We can also talk with the teachers and classmates using English so that we can improve our speaking skills. I always go to English Corner with my classmates when we are free since it is really a good place.

Before I went to the English Corner, I did not like English a lot since I thought that it was extremely boring. However, after I joined the English Corner today, I quickly found that English Corner is a wonderful place for us to learn English in an easy way. I really had a great fun today Yeah!!!^^

I am a Class 9 Grade 8 student who studies in BFLS this year. I love English Corner very much. I think English Corner is a good way to learn English, we meet new friends here and we can improve our speaking by talking with teachers and schoolmates. We can also play many interesting games and watching films in there. I have a great fun there that’s why I am always in the English Corner. I hope to know more friends there !!!!

I am so excited to take part in the English Corner organized by our foreign teachers. It is such a good opportunity that I can talk with English teachers and get to know about the food culture in different countries. I can also improve my speaking ability by communicating with native speakers in English. I really look forward to next English Corner activity.

Today we joined in English corner and this activity was really fantastic! We set up this event in international class room. All of the students in Class 9, Grade 8, and Class 10, Grade 9 came to join in this activity with English teachers!

Firstly we chose 10 students to come in front of us, and each one said a word to make a story. Secondly, we had 5 students in a group to made up a story in 15 minutes. Thirdly each group acted the story out with the group members. I think we showed the best of ourselves.

All the student learn a lot from this English corner activity. We not only speak out, but also widen our horizons. Everyone shared ideas, and I’m looking forward to attending next English corner activity!

@Oliver Class 10 Grade 9

Today, the whole class joined the English corner activity. We had an interesting warming-up game at the beginning. Then, we were divided into several teams, and we composed the script and played the story. Our group created a superhero story. It was interesting when I discussed with my teammates. I think it is an activity that can make us learn a lot, like teamwork, creativity and so on.

@Ellen Class 10 Grade 9

Today in our first English corner, my classmates and I had an activity of circumstances show. My group consisted of 5 members. We wrote and produced a story of superhero. We discussed how to get a good plot for our story, and teachers helped us to solve some problems we met. Finally, we performed an very interesting plays. I think this activity is meaningful for everyone.
