“给林校长的一封建议信”——专访我校初一四班赵京博、黄睿麒同学

赵京博和黄睿麟是我校初一(4)班的学生。在一次主题班会课上,他们俩对于目前学校的环境问题和教育现状进行了深入思考,并从学校建设的角度出发,给我校校长林卫民写了一封信。信中展现出了他们热爱和保护环境、积极思考的优秀品质。
我校初中英语记者团特地邀请到两位同学,并对其事迹进行了采访。
Zhao Jingbo and HuangRuilin are two students of Junior 1 in BFLS (Beijing Foreign Languages School affiliated to BFSU) , one is from class 4, junior1 and the other class 5, junior1.
Recently, principle Lin( the chief leader of our school) has received a letter which talked about the application of garbage recycling in our school. The letter is written by Zhao Jinbo, who said he came up with the idea by visiting the community and learning to classify different garbage. The visit was due to an school activity with the topic of “ learn to classify the garbage and create a better home”. He said that he was responsible to introduce the knowledge of classifying garbage and recycling to the residents of the community. Currently, China follows the traditional methods to deal with the garbage, which are landfills, compost, burning and so on. Those rough ways undoubtedly caused other environmental problems during the process of destroying the garbage. And the classifications of garbage in China are briefly divided as: recyclable, unrecyclable, kitchen garbage and poisonous garbage, which is also rather sloppy. He also proposes some feasible measures for the school to carry out. He suggested that school can change the garbage bin to the four-colored bin that are internationally popular to differentiate the garbage, so that students will know how to classify them. Also, school should make effort to advertise and spread the concept the recycling such as putting up signs or slogans in the bulletin boards and some other places, carrying out activities to educate students the recycling concept and teachers giving lessons to explain and teach them the related knowledge, and inviting professionals or experts to come to school and giving lectures about it.

R:Everyone has their own personal advice for their own schools, but not everyone has the courage to speak it out. Today we are going to meet two classmates who bravely tell their idea to the principals--They wrote a letter about their suggestions and personal opinions. Please introduce yourself.
魏语笑:每个中学生都想为母校提出一些建设方面的建议。但不是每个人都有勇气说出自己真实的想法。那么今天我们邀请到了两位勇于说出自己想法的同学。他们竟然给校长写了两封信来表达他们的想法和建议。现在就让我们一起认识一下他们吧。
Zhao: We are from class4, junior1, my name is ZhaoJing bo and my English name is Bob.He is my classmate,and his name is HuangRui lin and his English name is Andy.
赵京博:我们是北外附校初一4班的学生。我是赵京博,这是我同学黄睿麟。
R: Nice to meet you two. And my first question is: What did you two write about?
魏语笑:很高兴认识你们。我想问的第一个问题是:你们给校长的信里,写了什么?
Zhao: I wrote about the garbage recycling, it contains many different aspects.Such as recyclable waste, non- recyclable waste and hazardous waste.
Huang: And I worte about writing formulas on stairs of our buildings.
赵京博:我写了一些关于在校园内开展垃圾回收利用的事情。以及关于垃圾回收的一些相关建议。
黄睿麟:我写了关于在学校楼梯上张贴公式等学科知识的建议。
R:You both seem to have ideas. Second, we would like to know: What inspired you to write to the principals?
魏:你们俩都很有想法。那么是如何想到要给林校长写信的呢?
Zhao:When I served as a volunteer in the community, I found that people's lack of awareness of garbage recycling, object reusing and garbage classification, so I planned to spread relevant knowledge in the school.
赵:我有一次在社区做志愿者,发现社区的人们对于垃圾回收,废物利用和垃圾分类的知识非常缺乏。而且他们这方面意识也很淡薄。我就想要去普及这些观念给人们。我觉得在学校首先开展这项活动是很有意义和较容易实施的。
R:You both gave me a perfect explanations for my question. Let`s move to the third one: How did you finish the proposal? Did you meet some difficulties?
魏:你们提出这些建议的过程中有没有遇到什么困难?
Zhao: When I first wrote this letter, I didn't have any terminology in the field. With a large amount of knowledge in the later period, I know all the domestic treatment methods such as incineration and landfill, and have a little knowledge of foreign countries. Later, the writing format was also adjusted.
赵:我在写信过程中,发现我对于很多垃圾回收的术语不是很了解。后来我查阅了相关的资料,了解到了此领域内很多垃圾处理方式比如说:填埋,焚烧等等。我还了解到了其他国家是怎么处理垃圾的。
R:It seems that being an advisor is not easy either. Finally, here comes to the last question: Then, how did school respond?
魏:提建议本身就是有一定困难的。那么学校是怎么回复的呢?
Zhao:That is not a question I need to consider.I am only give my suggestion.That is all.Of course, I also think it should be done by everyone.
赵:我觉得这不是我目前需要考虑的问题。我只是说出了我想说的和做我应该做的。当然,我还是希望每个人都能了解到这些环保知识并树立环保意识。
R:Okay. Thank you two very much. Well all of us should learn your courage and fresh ideas, also wish our school get better day by day.
魏:谢谢你们。我们每个人都应该学习他们两人这种勇气和担当的精神。也希望我们学校建设的越来越好。

敬爱的林校长:
您好!我的名字叫赵京博,来自初一(4)班,是北外附校一名普通的中学生。平时喜欢看书读报,当然科技小创作也是我的兴趣。这次非常荣幸有这个机会给您写信,感谢您在百忙之中抽出时间阅读我的来信。
上周四中午,为了响应首都少年先锋队学习雷锋精神的号召,班主任潘老师组织我们前往西二旗社区开展了“学习垃圾分类,共创美好家园”雷锋月主题志愿服务活动。本次主题活动中,我担当着清扫社区垃圾美化社区环境,向社区居民宣讲有关于垃圾分类知识的任务。其中“宣讲垃圾分类”令我印象深刻,从最初的捡拾到后来的分类对我有着不小的考验。
在此过程中,我深深的感受到了我国城市垃圾问题的严峻性以及生态环境越发恶化的危机感。随着人民生活水平的不断提高,我国生活垃圾在以每年5%-8%左右的速度上升,垃圾围城正在给中国的城市敲墙警钟。目前,我国城市垃圾的处置方法主要是填埋、堆肥、焚烧等传统的消纳倾倒方式,不仅浪费大量的资源,同时还会造成严重的后果:污染空气、污染水体、生物性污染、侵占大量土地......目前国内四种主要的垃圾分类:可回收垃圾、不可回收垃圾、厨余垃圾以及有害垃圾。然而虽有着明确的归类,但在活动中发现在无论是在社区中还是在校园中,人们对垃圾分类的意识却十分淡薄。
我之前也到过很多国家游学,也查找过相关资料进行相关领域的学习和对比。个人观点,相比较国外成熟的学校垃圾分类教育,国内主要是提倡垃圾减量化、无害化、资源化处理可行途径。而我们学校作为外国语特色学校也应提倡与重视垃圾分类,并且注重资源的科学处理并再利用。我们应该积极纳新,汲取前两者之精华,在北外附校从学前班开始就培养学生自觉进行垃圾分类的意识以及规范环境卫生意识。
垃圾分类的意义体现于,最大限度地实现垃圾资源利用,减少垃圾处置量,改善生存环境质量等方面。它的重要性不言而喻,因此对于学校开展垃圾分类,我有以下几个方面建议及措施:
(1)更换校园垃圾桶—用现在国际流行的四色垃圾桶来区分垃圾类型,并且在桶上面有明显的标识,让同学们能够正确识别桶的类型从而正确放入垃圾。
(2)在食堂、校园宣传栏等地方利用“文化墙”等形式广泛宣传。
(3)在全校范围内开展“学习垃圾分类,从我做起”主题系列教育活动。可以利用队会或者班会的形式,也可在科学课上向同学们普及垃圾分类知识。
(4)全校开展垃圾分类“知识竞赛”,让同学们能够主动参与到垃圾分类以及处理的活动中来,养成好习惯。
(5)邀请科学院的有关专家或者有资源的家长代表进行专题讲座。
(6)成立专门的垃圾分类志愿者服务队或者学生社团组织,定期活动宣讲并且指导更多的同进行正确垃圾分类。
(7)带领同学们走进垃圾处理厂,参观工作间,了解垃圾处理再利用的意义和价值。
(8)每月评选一次“环保之星”,鼓励和表彰在垃圾分类以及保护环境方面有突出贡献和事迹的同学。
我由衷的建议学校鼓励垃圾分类,并令学生了解分类知识,积极宣扬与倡导,让同学们“垃圾分类记心中”,让“垃圾分类,净化校园”成风。
十分感谢林校长抽出时间阅读。我相信如今的努力和对垃圾分类的重视会令北外附校的明天会更好。通过这次志愿服务活动也让我有了今后努力学习,拼搏奋斗的方向,投身于中国的环境保护事业中去的决心,为中华民族的伟大复兴贡献自己的力量。最后,祝愿林校长身体健康,工作顺利!祝愿北外附校在您的带领下早日实现国际知名,国内一流的国际化特色学校。
