10月26日，我校初二年级全体学生前往国家地震紧急救援训练基地开展游学活动。初中英语记者团的同学们用双语记录了这次活动心得。

On October, 26^th, with the chilly wind, all the students from grade 8 started our school trip to National Earthquake Rescue Training Base. We got on the bus in the morning and arrived at 9:00am, then we carried out this activity in an orderly way.

Following the instructors, we have learnt many things such as rescue equipment, first aid knowledge, knots tieing, how to survive in the earthquake, CERT’s rescue history and at last we experienced to walk in a dilapidated building which was bulit to simulate the broken buildings caused by an earthquake. Also we watched a 4D movie about the earthquake, which was really exciting.

Those rescue equipment are very huge and heavy, but they are not ponderous, they are really useful during the rescue. There’re numerous kinds of equipments that are useful in different situations.

To knot the rope is the hardest part, most of students in my group were confused. But in fact, if you watched carefully, it was very easy, and maybe one day, it will help you to survive!

I think the most attractive part is the experiment that we walked in the dilapidated building, which is only 18° inclined, but seemed like 45°. That was an unforgettable experience. Unless you walk very slowly, you will fall down.

This time is different from the former activities, for we learnt more about saving life, more about how difficult work the soldiers are facing to when rescuing survivors in the earthquake. On the other hand, we saved our life by the experiment.

It was a meaningful day because we not only learned something about the history of rescuing people in earthquakes,but also we got some useful skills to survive in the natural disasters.

昨天，10月26日，伴随着瑟瑟秋风，北外附校八年级全体学生前往国家地震紧急救援训练基地开展游学活动。我们乘坐大巴车来到了目的地，并有条不紊的进行着实践活动。

在活动中，我们跟着各班的带队交官学到了不少东西：急救装备、急救知识、绳结、生存知识、CERT的救援历史，最后我们还亲身体验了一下在模拟地震废墟中行走并观看了4D电影。

我们发现那些急救装备都非常的大而重，但是在真正的救援过程中，它们却是最有用的。这里有很多种救援装备用来应对各种情况。

打绳结是最难的一个环节，我所在的小组的大多数同学都是懵的；但事实上，如果你看得足够仔细，那些打绳结的方法都是很简单的，而且非常实用，这是能够帮助你在危难时逃生的实用技巧。

我觉得在整个实践活动中，最吸引人的就是模拟地震中大楼逃生的体验，那是一座模拟建造的被地震破坏的大楼。大楼的倾斜角度虽然只有18°，但是看起来足足有45°，那真是一次令人难忘的经历，一不小心就会滑倒…

这一次，不同于以往，我们学到了更多保护生命的知识，更多了解到了解放官兵的工作艰难。换句话说，我们保护了自己的生命。

On Friday, our school went to the earthquake rescue training center. we learned a lot about the earthquake and how to survive the earthquake.

上周五，我们学校组织参观地震救援中心。我们在那里学习到了许多地震自救措施，令我受益颇深。

 First , we visited the “inclined tower” which is a simulation of the building after earthquake. This building was 18 degrees inclined. We followed the teacher to climb to the top of the building. We felt very dizzy while we were walking through the stairs  as if it was shaking in the earthquake although indeed it was stable and we needed to hold the stair handle to keep balanced. It was a little bit scaring but exciting.

 最开始，我们参观了斜楼。斜楼是一个模拟地震后的楼房。这个建筑相对于垂直地面18度倾斜。我们跟随队伍上了斜楼。向上攀登时会有一种眩晕感，我们需要紧紧扶住阶梯把手去保持平衡，以免摔倒。

Next, we went to the equipment warehouse , the drillmasters introduced some tools that they use to rescue people who are endangered in earthquake. For example, the infrared life detector, which has an electrical sense about living things and is used to  search people who are still alive but trapped in the earthquake. The saw that cut the cement is used to save people who are pressed by the ruined walls .

 接下来，我们去参观了地震救援设备仓库，教官向我们介绍了许多救援的器材。这里有红外线生命检测仪，用于在震后废墟中寻找有生命迹象的人。还有水泥切割机，用于在倒塌房屋的废墟中救出遇难人员。

 Then,we learned some useful knots that may help you survive during earthquakes, like knot of "8" shape.

然后我们学习了一些地震时常用的自救绳结，如八字结以及迅速打结的方法。

At last, we went to watch a 4D movie . It showed the effect of earthquakes and what we should do if earthquakes really happen. It was really exciting.

最后，我们观看了4D电影，电影中讲述了地震对城市的影响以及我们在地震来临时应做出的反应，让我们对地震有了一个深层次的了解。

In this trip ,we really learned a lot. We all had a strong sense that human is insignificant in front of nature.Although  disasters don't  happen frequently,we still need to know those life skills in case of disasters ,thus we will have more chances to survive if misfortune really comes.        

在这场参观学习活动中，我学习到了很多东西。人类在自然面前是渺小的，尽管地震并不常常发生，但只要发生了就会为我们带来深重的灾难。所以我们应多多学习关于地震的知识，让我们在地震来临时有最大生还的希望。
